PanEco is a concatenated abbreviation of two words, the prefix 'pan' and 'ecological'. According to the dictionary, the prefix 'pan' means:

"a combining form meaning 'all', used in the formation of compound words."
The second word is ecological - the environment in which we live. This is the essence of AMP Research's PanEco products - products that aid in encompassing environmental resource conservation at the individual level, by the application of cutting edge technology. Our PanEco products focus on advanced lighting solutions using LED technology and home sensor networking and automation using ZigBee technology. Together with education about conservation, AMP Research PanEco products can pave a greener tomorrow.

LED Products

LEDs are the basis for solid-state lighting (SSL) and the wave of the future of lighting. On average, LEDs consume just 24% of the power of standard lighting, yet provide the same level of illumination. LEDs are also available in a broad variety of colors. This allows us to replace a broad variety of lamps and bulbs with energy (and heat) saving LED technology. Additionally we have unique lighting designs that replace conventional (light-bulb-centric) lighting with high-efficiecny, shadow free solid-state lighting.

Wireless Sensor Network Products

Until recently wireless netowkring was the domain of mobile phones and short-term battery powered devices. With the advent of bluetooth, the battery life of these devices was extended and the personal area network or PAN was born. However, it would take the standardization of the ZigBee protocol by the IEEE to enable a truly low-power sensor network, operating on energy harvesting and reporting in real-time. AMP Research offers sensor networking and automation products based on this unique protocol.
